In a bid to drive development of the local arts industry as well as ​ raise awareness of the African t​elevision industry,​ The 5th Africa Television Market (Durban, 19-22 July 2018) will host the first of a series of activations at Esikhawini (City of uMhlathuze) this Wednesday, 20 June 2018 at the Umfolozi TVET College – a first for the community of uMhlathuze and the ATM programme.

The public and members of the media are invited to attend this informative session where experts from the television industry will share crucial information and impart knowledge/tips on the industry’s value chain as well as the challenges and business opportunities that exist within an industry, which in the main is associated with big Metros such as Johannesburg, Cape Town & Durban and​ seems very far way from ordinary citizens in townships such as Esikhawini.

The main conference will take place at Durban’s Maharani Hotel from 19 to 22 July 2018. Panelists include renowned Nigerian  actress Rita Dominic as well as local South African actress and SAFTA winner Ms Lungelo Nxele, who is alsothe founder of the Africa Television Market, ​to name a few.
