At the Liberty Radio Awards Gala Banquet on 22 April at the Sandton Convention Centre, acknowledgement will be made of people who have made a significant contribution to the radio industry as well as of the young Bright Stars who will play a substantial role in the industry’s future.

Inanda 88.4 FM’s Sthabiso Nyaba is amongst the eight future leaders of the industry who will be inducted as ‘Bright Stars’.

“I nominated sthabiso Nyaba because of his loyalty to me and the station – ever since he joined the station in 2008 he worked tirelessly with dedication to ensure that my dream comes true… The dream of ensuring that INK community has its own effective communication tool helping them to participate vocally in their own development” says Station Manager Thandeka Msani Ngobese.

A NEMISA alumni who first joined Inanda 88.4 FM as a newsreader then went onto presenting and now at age 28, Sthabiso works behind the scenes but his work rate is felt across all departments. He has a fundamental understanding and affection for the medium & Inanda 88.4 FM strongly relies on him, his services and creativity.

“Being someone who had no experience or knowledge of radio when I started working at Inanda 88.4 FM, I’m very grateful that today I am being recognised the Liberty Radio Awards ‘Bright Star'” – Sthabiso Nyaba
